Patent Technical Manager
Job Description:
- Identify and evaluate product opportunities and risks for MENA, EU and other markets with respect to patents and set plans to handle related issues.
- Implement patent strategies for products intended for MENA, EU and other markets and ensure that these strategies are fully aligned with Hikma’s strategy.
- Liaise with R&D for assessing patent strategies and formulating innovative approaches of design around to ensure the successful launching of differentiated products.
- Design patent search strategies and optimize search methodologies to improve search accuracy and efficiency.
- Support BD team to leverage the value of deals by performing IP due diligence from a technical/patent point of view.
- Create IP department policies and procedures to implement IP strategies and relevant issues.
- Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholder (patent offices, health authorities and associations) to implement Hikma`s strategies.
- Develop and design IP training plans for different functions in Hikma to provide IP fundamental concepts and basic knowledge
- Provide technical guidance and support during patent litigations.

- Knowledge of French is a plus.
- Prior knowledge of different patent and non-patent databases is a plus.
- Prior knowledge of USA, European, and MENA patent systems and regulations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.
- Excellent project management skills.
